Protein Porridge Recipe |

The porridge recipe I am sharing today is one of my favorites ways to eat oats for breakfast.

One of my new year resolutions for 2018 is to get fit and healthy.

Growing up I was never a big fan of porridge because it tasted very bland. Oats are considered whole grain food and they are incredibly nutritious.  Additionally oats are loaded with important vitamins, minerals and antioxidant plant compounds.

Porridge is a recommended breakfast meal not only because of its health benefits but also it is quite filling!

I add protein to my porridge because it helps the muscles recover faster, watch this video for more information.

Porridge Protein Recipe

Oats (mine are rolled) check out the different types of oats

1 scoop Protein I use Whey Protein by Women’s Best

Fruits of choice as your topping

Chia seeds


  • Boil water or milk (I use almond milk)
  • Add the porridge and some chia seeds and cook on low heat until desired thickness is achieved
  • Remove the pan from heat, add protein powder and mix well
  • Pour the porridge into a bowl
  • Sprinkle with your fruits (I love mine with mangoes and strawberries), some chia seeds and honey

This meal takes me less than 10 mins to prepare, super healthy simply a great way to start your day.
