Dermalogica is a brand I have heard about but since it is not available in Oman I wasn’t able to try out. So you can imagine how happy I was when I found their products sold on BasharaCare.

Bashara Care is your one stop online shop for all things skin care, hair care and cosmetics. I love the fact that they are an authorised dealer for the brands the carry on their website such as Dermalogica, Dr.Hauschka, Ofra, Rodial, Elemis, Murad to name a few. The best part about this is that they are based in the UAE and ship to all GCC Countries! My order was delivered within a couple of days. You also have the option to pay cash on delivery check out their delivery page for more information.

As a member of BasharaCare’s influencers programme I have been sent products to review and for this month choose to review 2 products from Dermalogica the Daily Microfoliant and Active Moist.

I am BIG actually HUGE on skin care and as much as I love make up I believe that the secret to flawless makeup is to have great skin. Another reason why I take care of my skin so I can go out makeup free.

The basics to any skin care routine consists of 3 steps cleansing, toning and moisturising your skin. However, it is also recommended that you exfoliant at least once a week to get rid of the layer of dead skin cells that tends to be on the surface. Before we get into the review I would like to remind you to read the disclaimer.

Active Moist

It is worth mentioning that I have combination/sensitive skin and I must admit when I first used this I didn’t think it would very moisturising due to its sheer consistency, boy was I wrong. I have been using it for the past 3 weeks as part of my evening routine and have been waking up with dewy skin every morning. It’s hard to believe that it is actually oil-free.

It didn’t have any fragrance which is another thing I like as I am too comfortable with the fact of products smelling too good, it is for the face after all.

Overall I am really happy with this moisturizer as it does the job and keeps my skin hydrated without the greasy feeling and my skin seems to love it too.

The tube is 50 ml and it retails for 16 OMR

Daily Mircofoliant

This product is the one I was really excited about as exfoliation is something a staple in my skin care routine. As the ones I have used mostly contained a creamy texture but this one comes in powder form. The fine beads are actually rice based and it is activated with water. To use it wet your face/hands and approx a tsp of it on your hand, being careful that water does not get into the bottle.

Rub your hands and gently massage your face, rinse with warm water, pat dry and enjoy soft smooth skin.

Contrary to what you might think it is not abrasive on the skin, it is so gentle that it is you can use it daily should you wish to do so.

I have been using this every other day after cleansing, followed by my toner and then the Daily Moist and honestly I don’t think I have seen my skin look this healthy in a long time.

The bottle is 75ml and retails for 22 OMR

The Daily Microfoliant and Active Moist products have become a staple in my skincare routine and I would love to try other Dermalogica products.
