Living in the Middle East one would think that modest fashion is “happening”!
Well sorry to break to it to you but the struggle is real and shopping for modest clothing is no easy task.
Yes, we have malls which have many international brands to shop from but sadly it is always a struggle to find something modest to wear. Many of the clothes that are available are inappropriate for me to wear in public.
The other option is to have something made or simply make it yourself! but sometimes you want to be able to just buy something because well simply because it saves you time.
If you follow me for a while you probably know that I dress rather modestly. In other words it means I like to dress up in a way that I am chic/fashionable without revealing my body.
the quality of not being too proud or confident about yourself or your abilities
the quality of behaving and especially dressing in ways that do not attract sexual attention
My ideal outfit is a loose-fitting top, wide pants, accessories, a cute bag, sparkly shoes and bam!
I totally fell in love with this summer dress by Mona Fashion which they call Mona’s Summer Dress. What I love about this is that it is made out of soft cotton, it is loose, can be worn as a tunic or a dress. You can dress it up or dress it down, style it with a belt and can be rocked by hijabis!
My sense of style is always simple and to give it life add a pop of colour such as this Furla bag.
Our hijab should not stop us from expressing ourselves and being who we are. I will continue to wear my hijab with pride and continue to inspire women around the world to stay true to themselves and ultimately lead a life they love.
What I am Wearing
